D-Day and Beyond: A True Story of Escape and POW Survival. Written with D-Day survivor Stanley Edwards, the book relates Edwards’ experiences as a young pilot shot down on D-Day. Stan was captured by Nazi soldiers and escaped several times before becoming a POW at Stalag Luft III in Germany. His story hooks readers’ emotions as they travel with Edwards through the enemy territory of occupied France. |

Works in Progress
Julie has completed three novels for young people, currently awaiting publication. Her YA historical novel, Sculptor and Spy, based on true events that took place in New York and London during the American Revolution, is scheduled for publication in 2026.
Julie’s middle grade novel, Project Underdog, is the story of eighth grader Bella DiMarco, who battles disabilities and bullying at her new middle school to champion all kinds of underdogs, from abandoned animals to lonely classmates.
Whispers in the Woods is a middle grade survival fantasy. On a camping trip with her father to legendary Whispering Woods, eleven-year-old Maya Bright meets the magical beings inhabiting the forest. But when her father is badly injured, Maya must find a way to save his life, while sorting out the forces of good and evil in the woodland.
