Written with D-Day survivor Stanley Edwards, the book relates Edwards’ experiences as a young pilot shot down on D-Day.
Stan was captured by Nazi soldiers and escaped several times before becoming a POW at Stalag Luft III in Germany. His story hooks readers’ emotions as they travel with Edwards through the enemy territory of occupied France.

Works in Progress
Julie has completed two novels for young people, currently awaiting publication. Her young
adult historical novel, Sculptor and Spy, is based on true events that took place in New York and
London during the American Revolution.

Julie’s middle grade novel, Project Underdog, is the story of eighth grader Bella DiMarco, who battles disabilities and bullying at her new middle school to champion all kinds of underdogs, from abandoned animals to lonely classmates.

She is currently working on a middle grade fantasy survival story.
